The Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) is named for its use of an organic fluid with a boiling point occurring at a lower temperature than the water steam phase change.
The low boiling point fluid allows heat recovery from lower temperature sources such as biomass combustion, industrial waste heat, geothermal heat, solar ponds etc. to be converted into useful work, that can itself be converted into electricity Heated ORC fluid leaves the plate style Evaporator and enters a turbine.

The desalination / water treatment unit uses a small scale Multi effect distillation (MED) principle for to distil brines.
This principle consists of multiple stages or “effects”. In each stage the feed water is heated and used in subsequent stages. Each stage essentially reuses the energy from the previous stage, with successively lower temperatures and pressures after each one.
The boiling point of the fluid is lowered using a series of vacuum pumps in each effect.
The energy storage and controls unit acts as the brains of the operation. All electrical power generated from the ORC process and the solar panels are stored using modern battery technology. All parasitic electrical loads of the desal process are run from the internal batteries (pumps, valves, gauges, etc).
All controls are handled by internal CPU’s and modern cloud-based AI monitoring for autonomous interaction.
The unit contains an innovative cooling cycle which keeps all electrical componentry cool in harsh climates.
The water storage has been designed to utilise a traditional cascading process to further filter and cool fresh water. The water flows over modern RO filters and allows for sediment to pool at the bottom of the tanks.
Each tank can be used for various different applications depending on purity requirements, or combined.
